Olivia is part of Simon Pegg's new movie, Man Up. The movie is about a disillusioned single woman (Lake Bell) who mistakenly goes on a date with a freshly-hatched divorcee (Pegg). The movie also stars Rory Kinnear, Sharon Horgan, Harriet Walter, Ken Stott and Stephen Campbell Moore. The script was written by Tess Morris and will be directed by Ben Palmer | source

The plot for Altar, which started filming a few weeks back (first mentioned here) has been released to Variety. In the film, Matthew Modine portrays an American artist and Olivia Williams, his British wife. The film centers on the couple and their two children who begin renovation work at a remote English estate, where the owner killed his wife years earlier in a demonic ritual. The wife exacted her revenge by haunting him, driving him to madness and suicide. | source

Sorry I left you hanging on the other hat post! D-:

Aw, I was hoping for something like Beetlejuice, but I guess if they want to be "serious"... ;-P

They need the dang hat to save the day! XD

Some of the movies Olivia has done lately...well, I guess it's good she's still getting lots of steady work, haha. So many actresses of her age can't even get movies where their husband wants to perform satanic rituals on everyone.

I am petitioning for Olivia to guest on Hannibal...I think the better roles these days are on TV, tbh.

Oh no, I know she's had a bit more than just "wife" roles recently (although she's had a lot), it's just lately some of them are going into B-movie territory for me, and the Matthew Modine movie sounds like it could easily be a C if they don't do it with care. Maybe it will be fabulous and Sixth Sense-y, but when you throw demonic possession into the mix, that can go awful in a funny way so easily, especially if someone overacts or they do a lot of FX. Hopefully it will be a quiet atmospheric one based in reality...that's the only way I could see it being potentially "good" and not cheesy.

I'd probably feel better about Olivia's recent movies if I hadn't watched the clip of her in Sabotage (or whatever they decided to call the Ahhnuld movie). Even though I'm a fan of Olivia, the accent...gah! XD She must've watched some episodes of Kyra Sedgewick in The Closer and went "aha, Atlanta accent!" (Kyra is doing a very weird fringe Georgia accent in that show.)

But yeah, I think Olivia could do a good job on Hannibal, but I dunno if she even wants to bother with TV right now, especially US TV. It doesn't help that I think scriptwriters are just phoning it in right now...there are so many freaking reboots and sequels these days, plus book adaptations...I don't think original screenplays are being encouraged very much these days. The ones that are getting through aren't generally that great, either, although there are few (Sandra Bullock has been doing a good job with picking her projects lately, but then she can afford to be picky, as well.)

Oh, it was a link you posted here (http://oliviawilliams.livejournal.com/76431.html). This trailer: http://movies.yahoo.com/video/sabotage-trailer-164021398.html Her accent is aaalll over the place in this. Considering I hear horrible southern US accents all the time in movies/TV (Less is more, Hollywood! Less is more!), it's no big whoop, but I admit that I was hoping she could do a little bit better with it. If they had a dialect coach on this movie (probably didn't), he/she should be fired, haha. But I guess they figured someone watching an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie does not care about accents or believability at all. They just want explosions and gory deaths!

Yes, Olivia does what she wants, aw yeah.
